TLs Family in Manteo

Went yesterday afternoon and got vegetable plates:enjoyed the food very much(country cooking) and our waitress was very nice,service was great!

We were headed back home after a night in Cape Hatteras. We stumbled across this place. Great food and coffee. The service was amazing. Great family style restaurant with lots of food choices. Highly recommend this place!!!

Always good in quality and service! Simple place without the frills. Daily specials with nice prices. Has more of a "country cookin" flavor to it. One of the better places in Manteo to eat!

Only giving it a rating of four out of five because the complimentary hushpuppies were cold and there were no refills on the hush puppies but they were good but they were very good in flavor. My wife's chicken wrapped in bacon was very good however the green beans had no seasoning at all and the barbecue plate that I received did not have much BBQ on I probably should have just got the barbecue sandwich which was $4 less but all in all great atmosphere and great Hospitality from the waitresses I would say give it a chance

Excellent (and HUGE!) hand-made burgers made exactly the way you want it. The cold tea and french fries were a treat too! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Wasn't crowded either, just a bunch of us locals!

Clean, friendly, local, family restraunt. All day food of any type, I go in sometimes at night for breakfast dinners. Good food, great staff that is hospitable and nice to talk to.

This is our go to breakfast place in Manteo!! Yummy food, great service and prices. Nothing fancy just good quick breakfast and its not fast food! Would recommend anyone to go here. I get a kick out of the city ham on the menu :)

Nice family style restaurant. Good fish sandwich. Wife had the tuna salad sandwich. Said her's was very good as well. They charge 4% for credit cards, so might want to bring cash.

Visiting the OBX looking for a traditional breakfast? This is the place...biscuits made from scratch....thick cut bacon...thick pancakes made from scratch, as well as (real egg) 3 egg omlettes made to order. Excellent service.Enjoy!

I was so hungry our last visit I ate half my food before take a pic even entered my mind! They have tasty food. If you are in manteo i would highly recommend for breakfast. Its home cooking and wont break the bank.

My family came to eat breakfast here the food was good but i split the tip between my card and cash when she seen the tip on the receipt she just said i cant win today what she did not know is there was cash on the table we come to the beach a gew times a year and we will not be back to tl again

They overcharge for everything they offer. I order a freaking salad and they made me pay $13 for it! THEN, I had to make it, I paid $13 dollars to make my own salad. This place doesn't need to fix some things... they need to close down. I AM A LOCAL AND I DO NOT THINK ANYONE SHOULD HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS BS.

Went in and was sat quickly. There was ONE server but she was attentive and knowledgeable. I have lactose allergies and she ensured everything came out right. Food was fast and reasonably priced. If youre visiting from out of town this is a great breakfast or brunch spot.

Rarely do you go to a restaurant with specific dietary needs and have the chef NAIL THE ORDER PERFECTLY......Jose, the chef, did just that. The omelette was perfect. Bacon fresh and not overcooked......All the waitstaff was cheerful and it felt like home there. The owner even stopped in and added his wonderful smile and sense of humor to the morning......HIGHLY Reccomend this place.....Honesty abounds here.....the bathroom was also very clean.

I ate here for lunch and had a great experience. The food was really good (hamburger steak special), fixed fast, and the service was excellent. The manager/owner, I'm not sure which because I'm a traveler, walked around the dining room twice and asked how they were doing and how their food was. There were a lot of friendly locals, and it's obvious why. This place is a gem. I recommend. I'll be here again in the future.

TLs Restaurant is always so good...We had the hamburger steak special with grilled onions...um I'm delicious. And the service is excellent as always.

The ladies there are all super kind and very attentive on top of everything.... coffee.... OJ.... napkins.... whatever.... love the local Mom and Pop feel.... always look forward to going there on our rare trips to Manteo... always make sure we're hungry on the way
